"POS wasn’t working so could not pay with credit card. Paid with USD (didn’t have enough €) so got a terrible exchange rate. Other than that front desk was nice and they even offered to pack breakfast for an early departure "

"The service at the beach bar is very slow. Unfortunately, the dishes and cocktails are tasteless. We had a lot of problems paying because the Pos device did not work. They only accept paper euros as currency(nonsense). There is loud music until midnight. Employees are inexperienced and indifferent. Beach towel 2,50 eur is paid. The officer in the night shift tried to get paid by being rude to us even though we didn't use the mini bar. We preferred this hotel by looking at its score, but we...

"Comfortable stay, beach was better than Durres standard as it was cleaned and fenced off.
Towels were a bit of a hassle, a couple of hours went walking to the reception and getting the response that there will be towels in 10minutes. A better solution would be to have the towels at the pool.
The food was ok, would not want to stay more than the 5days we were there though, the kids got really tired of pizza, pasta and burgers as they did not appreciate the other food. We almost always found...

"A great hotel located only a short walk from the main beach front in Durres. A nicely presented room with a comfortable bed, nice bathroom and a balcony to relax during the evening. The staff are very friendly and hospitable at the hotel. Breakfast options are good, tasty and was inclusive in the price. Would definitely recommend if you are staying in Durres. "

"A very fun place to stay. Staff was super serving and excellent! They had a place to park, which is a must in Durres. Great location. Wonderful pool (although closing at 6pm is so early!). Chairs and umbrellas on the beach. We had a great time!!!"

"Adria Palace Hotel is a true gem. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the elegance and attention to detail throughout the property. The beachfront location is unbeatable, offering breathtaking views and instant access to the sea. "The shuttle came to pick us up as we arrived almost midnight and they were very fast and helped us to check in and the room was so spacious and the kids each had their bed. We enjoyed the breakfast and the swimming pool. Its so lovely and perfect, we will come back again."
"A great modern hotel in a perfect location, central and walkable to everything but very quiet and hidden away with a nice outdoor terrace. Friendly staff and great value for such a nice central 4* hotel. Lovely rainfall showers and very modern bathrooms, free water provided every day. Highly recommended."
"Great hotel with friendly staff, short drive from the airport. The room was clean and spacious and perfect for a family of 3. The facilities are great, particularly the pool area and sitting on the loungers was a great way to enjoy the late afternoon. The food in the restaurant was really good and reasonably priced. Loved that they offer a free shuttle service to and from the airport. Would definitely return to this hotel and recommend to friends/family travelling to Tirana."
"We have stayed at the Plaza several times and have enjoyed it greatly every time. It is a beautiful hotel with excellent, attentive, friendly service. The rooms and hallways and the entire hotel is always clean and neat! This is luxury done right! "
"Hotel was beautiful! The decor. All areas spotless and beautifully designed. All of it was absolutely lovely!!! The traditional Albania breakfast with so much to choose from, fresh baked goods, fruit, vegetable and warm things. We all said we would go back here 100%"
"The staff especially waitress and waiters are so nice and gentle. The rooms and amenities are great; please keep helping and being nice with the guest, that's what would make you better option from others."
"Very nice hotel for relaxing and walking around .its luxury area and modern. What you need around you cafe ,restaurants ,Bars ,lounges and walking area. I like the place and I will repeat my stay in the same hotel. "
"This is a fascinating place, just opposite Vila 31, the residence of Hoxha. One can feel the old-style of the communist days, while the area has totally transformed into a hip going out scene with bars and clubs. "
"We stayed mid June on an all inclusive basis. The AI was very limited for drinks, we had to pay for tea and if you wanted anything other basic spirits, beer or wine. No tonic/mixers available even to buy, just fizzy orange, lemon or full fat coke from machine. Plastic glasses even at dinner, though I did just ask the staff for a glass and take it to the bar as all drinks were self service. No cocktails on offer the way it’s shown online as I’d have been happy to pay for these. I did buy great Aperol Spritz but I’d just asked for this - no menu showing what was available.
The gym & Al la carte restaurant were closed which was disappointing. The foyer was being re- decorated. I got the impression it was an ‘out of season ‘ vibe as all the theme nights etc you see online didn’t take place.
This may all seem negative but we did have a good time, I think you just need to manage expectations. We paid less than £1000 for 2 people for a week - which was still good value.
The staff were very helpful and the concierge arranged transport and a restaurant booking for a fantastic evening in Tirana.
The food was fairly good, plenty of choice and we always found something we could eat. A criticism would be that you just found your own table, which meant my husband and I had to go up at different times to buffet as we’d have lost the table otherwise as the staff just cleared whatever was there if no one was sitting.
I’d say this was a decent 3 star hotel.
"
"Loved the hotel, central for everything. Spa was lovely.
Only negative, the cooked food at breakfast was only luke warm, by the time you sat down to eat, it was cold. Reported to staff, but nothing was done to improve . We only ate the other items at breakfast, bit disappointing for a 4 star hotel, could of been much better!!"
