"A special treat to stay in a chateau, so a bonus to also be able to have dinner there too. We stayed in the chateau itself rather than the renovated outbuildings, which was fun. Lovely buffet breakfast too. Very reasonable too, IMHO."

"Wonderful. Welcomed by the hostess and her young daughter. They told us about the history of the property and gave us a tour of the grounds, pointing out where we would have breakfast. "To be honest, there wasn’t much to like although it was cheap. Pretty much in an industrial area, the rooms are adequate and clean enough but the Aircon was not up to the job and there were a lot of bugs in my room. When we were there the restaurant Was inoperable and we had to look for somewhere to eat on the industrial estate. I might have been more forgiving if they had rung to tell us this as we were arriving late after a long drive.I won’t be going back."

The location is top-notch for dining and sight-seeing. The breakfast (extra charge, as is universal in France, but in this case a very small one) is wonderful, with many local products.
